The Underwriters Labratories labled the model #216FR SOSS Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheetmetal, tin clad, steel composite or wood core swinging type fire doors and frames with a 20 minute rating. Use at least one fire rated hinge for every 50cm of door height or portion thereof, or one hinge for every 27kg., or fraction thereof, whichever calculation demands more hinges.
